Architalx 2020 lecture series and the COVID-19 outbreak

After exploring a number of options, we have decided to suspend the Architalx 2020 season. This difficult decision is being made to help protect our lecturers, our guests, and our community.

At this time, Governor Janet Mills has recommended cancellation or postponement of public gatherings larger than 250 people. Each Architalx lecture was slated to sell 300 tickets. In addition to the Governor’s recommendations, the CDC and WHO have additional recommendations to stop the spreading of virus which includes each person keeping a distance of 6 feet from others.

The Architalx lecture series is not only an opportunity to listen to and meet prominent innovative designers from other parts of our world, but it is also a shared experience for our community to gather and discuss the nature of the work and how it impacts or inspires them. We feel that the safeguards put in place to prevent the spread of the virus would change this experience drastically.

There are many unknowns at the moment, and we appreciate your patience with the time it took us to determine next steps. If you have already purchased a ticket, we will send you a refund directly from Eventbrite.

We are grateful for your support and understanding as we as a community navigate this unusual situation. We wish you good health and look forward to seeing you soon!
