John Patkau is one of Canada’s foremost designers. He founded Patkau Architects with his wife Patrcia Patkau in 1978. John has instigated and developed the design of a wide variety of project types for a diverse range of clients in Canada, the US, Europe and the Middle East. His contributions to the practice of architecture have been recognized by numerous international awards including the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada gold medal for Lifetime Achievement. He was awarded Membership in the Order of Canada for significant contribution to Canadian culture and has been made an Honorary Fellow of both the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects.
