A Space Becomes a Place.

Place branding for building and bettering our cities and towns.

As we work to address social fragmentation, equity and environmental challenges, we have become more and more aware of the importance of public space to our communities and civic life. The notions of branding and public spaces can seem incongruous until we better understand the value of bringing these together – not only in outcome but process as well.

We’ll look at research and inspirational case studies. We’ll talk about methodologies to bring many voices together, ways to dig into the culture of a place, and the visual and verbal languages that are designed to welcome everyone.
